Hi there, stumble on your blog quite accident but love the fact that here is another amazing part of New Zealand thats hidden away. I never knew that Ripiro is the countries longest drivable beach. Hi, just thought that it would be nice to say hello to you. I’ve just been checking up on the ss australis sites and I came across your web page. I am living in Long Eaton in between Derby and Nottingham. You may remember it. I too sailed on the australis as a young woman and it was the most exciting thing Ihave ever done. Willie Thorne a well known snooker player from Leicester drove me and my friend down to Southampton in his Rolls Royce. Her sister was his girlfriend at the time. We had jobs as stewardesses in the bars.That was not long after you in 1976. Take a look at ken Ironside’s homepage if you haven’t already. It’s all about the australis. makes very interesting reading.
Sounds like you have made a good life for yourselves. I wish you many more happy years.

It was a great weekend kate apart from the milking part
its always lovley to catch up and see you guys
